Kane, alongside his brother Jim, enlisted in the Army and utilized his skills as a draftsman to create the first American cemetery on foreign soil in France. His service earned him a commendation from General Pershing for his bravery under fire and gas attacks.
After returning home, Kane married a young widow named Sara and built a successful career as an architect in Philadelphia. In 1940, he wrote his autobiography for his daughter, Sashie.
Now 93 and living in Cary, NC, Sashie seeks to share her father's insights and legacy with others, highlighting a life of service, love, and professional achievement.
